F1 testing in 2023 is going to take place in Bahrain.

All the teams have already reached the Bahrain circuit. The testing will be for almost 9.5 hours including a 1-hour break. 10 teams along with 20 drivers will test the car to better prepare themselves for the season opener and better understand the car as the season progresses. We have seen almost all the real cars on the track apart from Red bull who are so hideous about their car. We might also see some big changes in the Mercedes. Mercedes have always brought a very different car compared to what they show during the launch and the shakedown. Toto Wolff himself has admitted that their car in WindTunnel looks a lot different from what we have shown on track in Silverstone.

Innovations

Every single team has brought innovations to help their car perform better. Even Haas has brought innovations this year. Ferrari has introduced the S-duct and other innovations that Enrico Cardile resisted explaining. Mclaren brought a revolutionary floor, and although they did their best in hiding it was captured by some photographers. And we have to see innovations from Red Bull and Mercedes when they will bring an actual car to Bahrain.

Line-up

Every team has the same line-up for testing as their main drivers apart from Aston Martin. Aston Martin recently announced that Lance Stroll won't be able to take part in testing. Lance Stroll got injured when riding a bicycle in Spain. Felipe Drugovich their reserve driver will drive the car in pre-season testing.

What to expect?

Well although pre-season testing doesn't determine the exact performance of the car, it gives some idea to the spectators of how the car is performing in every corner. But it was noticed last year that Ferrari is performing well, and it was proved that Ferrari had the strongest car in some races of the first part of the season. We might have some idea after watching testing who could be the strongest going into the season opener.
